The Practicum File and Evaluation Report

Through these sessions the participant will discuss the Practicum file how this should be assessed to best ensure conformity.

Through this session the examiners and the tutor will also discuss the Evaluation Report and how it should be best written.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this topic, the practicum examiners will be able to

  • Demonstrate knowledge of the various components of a Practicum File (e.g. Scheme/s of Work, Lesson Planning, Class Profile, Student Profile, etc) and how they should be assessed.

  • Evaluate effectively the performance of a student during his / her practicum.

  • Fill in the assessment sheets.

  • Write an extended evaluation report.
